Why did it take so long to get to Google Play?

Splitt was built as a Progressive Web App (PWA): a web app that works like a native app without requiring installation. Anyone could go to splitt-app.com on their phone and have it running in seconds — no app store needed.

That philosophy hasn't changed: zero barriers to entry. But many couples asked for Splitt on their home screen like any other app, with the convenience of finding it in the Play Store.

Today that's a reality.

What about the Apple App Store?

We're working on it. The iOS version is coming soon. In the meantime, iPhone users can use Splitt from Safari and add it to their home screen — it's identical to the native app.

Is Splitt free forever?

Yes. Splitt is free for all users. There is a Premium plan (€7.99/month) with extra features for couples who want more, but the free version has no expense limits and no ads.
