We have a milestone to share: Splitt is now available on the Google Play Store. You can search for it on your Android phone, tap Install, and have the couples expense tracker on your home screen in seconds - no browser tricks required.

Splitt started as a web app. A PWA - progressive web app - that you could add to your home screen from Chrome. That still works and always will. But we heard from a lot of Android users who wanted to find us the normal way: open the Play Store, search, install. Today that's possible. Download Splitt for Android and manage shared expenses with your partner the way you manage every other app on your phone.

Already using Splitt in your browser? You don't need to reinstall anything. Your account, your partner link, your expense history - everything stays exactly the same. The Play Store version is the same app. This update is for new users, not a disruption for existing ones.

What's new with the Play Store version

The core app hasn't changed. But installing through Google Play gives you a few things the browser version can't:

Easier install - one tap in the Play Store, no "Add to Home Screen" steps
Auto-updates - your app updates silently in the background, always on the latest version
Proper Android notifications - when your partner adds an expense, you get a real push notification, not a browser prompt
Lives in your app drawer - Splitt appears alongside your other apps, so it's easier to find and harder to forget
Discoverable on Google Play - couples expense tracker android searches now lead directly to us

What hasn't changed

Everything that made Splitt worth using is exactly the same:

Still completely free - no paywall to add expenses, no credit card to sign up
Your partner doesn't need to install anything - they join by opening a link, from any browser, on any device
All your data carries over - if you switch from the browser version to the Play Store version, log in with the same account and everything is there
Works offline - add expenses without internet, syncs when you're back online
Browser version stays alive - splitt-app.com works the same as always

I built Splitt from Spain, mostly on nights and weekends, to solve a problem my partner and I had: keeping track of shared expenses without spreadsheets or awkward "you owe me" conversations. We now have 125+ couples using it, from Madrid to Mexico City to Melbourne. Getting into Google Play feels like a real milestone - it means any Android user who searches for a couples expense app for Android can now find us the same way they find any other app. That matters. How to get started

If you're new to Splitt: search "Splitt" on Google Play or tap the button above. Install, create an account, and invite your partner with a link. Takes about two minutes.

If you're an existing user on the browser version: install from Google Play, log in with your existing email and password, and you're done. Same account, same data, nothing to migrate.

If you prefer the browser version: keep using it. Nothing is changing. We'll keep maintaining splitt-app.com the same as always.
