Splitt is a free expense tracker built exclusively for couples. Not for roommates. Not for groups. For two people who share a life and want to stay on the same page financially.
It is a PWA — a Progressive Web App — which means there is nothing to download. You open it in your browser, bookmark it on your home screen, and you are ready to go in under a minute. Your partner joins via a simple invite link.
💲 Always free
No paywalls, no hidden Pro tier. Every feature is available to every couple.
🌎 7 languages
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan — natively.
⚡ No bank sync required
No need to connect your bank account. Just add expenses as you go.
📱 Works on any device
PWA runs on iOS, Android, desktop — no app store needed.
The home screen always shows one number: your balance. Who owes what, at a glance. Monthly stats let you understand your spending patterns together — by category, by month, by who paid.
Why Product Hunt?
Product Hunt is where the world’s most curious tech users discover new tools. It is one of the best platforms for an indie product like ours to reach early adopters — people who genuinely try new apps, leave thoughtful feedback, and share things they love.
For Splitt, a Product Hunt launch is more than visibility. It is a signal. It tells couples around the world that a simple, focused, free alternative to Splitwise and Honeydue exists — one built specifically for them, not adapted from a roommates app.
Our goal is to be in the top 10 products of the day on May 26. That would mean reaching thousands of couples who are still tracking shared expenses in WhatsApp messages — or not tracking them at all.
Product Hunt’s community is uniquely valuable for a product like Splitt. Early adopters here are opinionated, engaged and willing to spread the word. A good launch day does not just generate signups — it generates press coverage, backlinks, and word-of-mouth that compounds over months.
How you can help

The Product Hunt launch marks the beginning of a new phase for Splitt. Here is what is coming over the next few months:
- AI expense assistant. Describe an expense in natural language and Splitt will categorise and log it automatically. No more tapping through menus after dinner.
- Premium features. Recurring expenses, custom categories, CSV export and advanced stats are in the pipeline. We will launch a Premium tier when we hit 100 active couples. The free tier stays free, forever.
- More languages. We already cover 7 languages. Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese are next — driven by where our users are coming from.
Everything we build is shaped by the couples already using Splitt. If you have a feature request, drop it in the comments on Product Hunt on May 26. We read every single one.

Yes, completely free. Every feature — expense tracking, balance calculation, monthly stats, invite links — is available to every couple at no cost. A Premium tier is planned for the future, but the free tier will always exist and will always cover everything couples need day to day.
No. Splitt is a PWA (Progressive Web App). Open splitt-app.com in your browser, tap “Add to home screen,” and it works exactly like a native app — including offline mode. No App Store, no Google Play, no storage used.
Splitwise is built for roommates and groups — it is overkill for two people in a relationship. Honeydue requires linking your bank account and shows ads. Splitt is built exclusively for couples, requires no bank sync, is completely free and runs in any browser with no installation.
