We’re launching Splitt on Product Hunt on Tuesday, May 26. After 3 months of building quietly with our first 110 users, we’re going public — and we would love your support.

If you have ever struggled to track who paid for dinner, the supermarket run, or last month’s rent with your partner, this is for you.

What is Splitt?

Splitt is a free expense tracker built exclusively for couples. Not for roommates. Not for groups. For two people who share a life and want to stay on the same page financially.

It is a PWA — a Progressive Web App — which means there is nothing to download. You open it in your browser, bookmark it on your home screen, and you are ready to go in under a minute. Your partner joins via a simple invite link.

The home screen always shows one number: your balance. Who owes what, at a glance. Monthly stats let you understand your spending patterns together — by category, by month, by who paid.

Why Product Hunt?

Product Hunt is where the world’s most curious tech users discover new tools. It is one of the best platforms for an indie product like ours to reach early adopters — people who genuinely try new apps, leave thoughtful feedback, and share things they love.

What we’re building next

The Product Hunt launch marks the beginning of a new phase for Splitt. Here is what is coming over the next few months:

• AI expense assistant. Describe an expense in natural language and Splitt will categorise and log it automatically. No more tapping through menus after dinner.
• Premium features. Recurring expenses, custom categories, CSV export and advanced stats are in the pipeline. We will launch a Premium tier when we hit 100 active couples. The free tier stays free, forever.
• More languages. We already cover 7 languages. Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese are next — driven by where our users are coming from.
